This book and I did not start on a good footing. I have to confess that the fault is mine. It is in my nature to dislike series with different main characters in the sequel and so, I found it hard to start reading this book. I am glad that I persisted though. There are 5 sisters in this series: Tatiana, Jena, Iulia, Paula, and Stela. Book 1, Wildwood Dancing revolves mainly with Tati & Jena with POV being Jena's. This book is about Paula and lessons she needed to learn. Of course, what kind of life lesson is it if it does not involve love... *sighs*The beginning (whether or not I imagined it: note 1st paragraph) felt slow to me as characters are being introduced. As Paula and her father travelled away from home, there are a number of them. I felt that it was also kind of slow in introducing the mission. The mission, of course, can not be stated openly and blatantly at all. The Other Kingdom works in their own ways and so, it was shrouded in mystery. When Paula worked it out though, I physically felt my hair stands on end and got completely totally excited and read to the end pretty quickly.So... my final judgement: "loved it!"
