I really wanted to love this series and yet, even after reading the second book, I'm still undecided. After finishing the first book, I wasn't sure if I was going to pick up the second book because I just wasn't curious enough and was happy enough to leave off where it was. Being slightly OCD means I just had to round up the series. It was slightly confusing to begin with because I read the first book a few months ago and I'm kinda fuzzy on some of the details to begin with. However, it was pretty easy to pick up again after a few chapters. Clary and Jace continue the fight against Valentine and the struggle of their true feelings. Further details to Valentine's plans and strategies were revealed. Some more hints about Clary & Jace were dropped but the answers appear to be contained in the next book.An easy quick read and exciting in parts (even ended in a sort of cliff-hanger that makes me want to read the 3rd book only for the answer) but I'm still lacking that glorious feeling of thoroughly loving a book. I can't pinpoint exactly what it is but maybe but I feel that it was just average. This series just doesn't sing to my heart :(
