A small town, in the middle of nowhere, where nothing ever happens, everything is always the same...A new girl at school, mysterious and good looking...Very, very moody weather...Does it sound familiar? It says 'Twilight' right away to my mind. However, there is more to the story. Some, of course, is predictable due to its genre & target audience but at least, there is more to the plot. It's filled with mystery, magic, ghosts, a terrible past, numerous dysfunctional families, and many other supernatural things.Unfortunately, whilst I wasn't impressed with the Twilight series, I can't say that I'm too impressed with this book either. It wasn't bad, which is why I'm giving it the average & common 3 stars rating but I couldn't say that I truly love it. I'm still undecided on what I think of the ending. I understand that it's practically a set up for the second in the series but... utterly undecided... (I haven't decided if I'd pick up the second book either)
