Night

Night - I started the audio last night and right at the beginning, I thought, I knew there was a reason why this book was on my TBR for so long and not being picked up. I shrink from any thought of the holocaust; from the thought of being persecuted (no, exterminated) for one's race & belief. Not long though before I really admire his courage and strenght and at the end, his faith. What a truly remarkable man of God.Elie Wiesel was 15 when the Jews were being shepherded into their own 'ghettos'. He was then living in Hungary with his parents and sister. Not long after, they were deported / transported to concentration camp and separated (mother & daughter, father & son). We follow Elie and his father to struggle through hunger, violence, death, and familial emotions.
