I didn’t know who Joni Lamb was before I picked up this book. The two main reasons are because I live in Australia and I don’t have cable tv (I’m limited to free to air tv which in Australia totals to 5 channels excluding HD as I don’t have HD tv). This however does not in anyway take away from the purpose of the book.Joni Lamb wrote to share her experience in surrendering her all to God and to invite her readers to do the same. She tells of troubles times and what has led her to surrender to the One Creator to the consequences and blessings from following in His will. She supports her story with other miraculous stories: people from different walks of life who came to surrender their all to God. These people experienced difficulties each unique from the other yet was called to the one & same God. People who became willing to commit themselves to follow God’s will whole-heartedly in all ways of life (finance, marriage, family, health, relationships, etc)These stories touched my heart, humbled me and I’ve even shed some tears. A very encouraging book that reminds me each day we need to surrender our lives again & again. “…a surrendered life doesn’t have to be a perfect life. You just have to be willing to trust Him even when what you face is horrible. To God, that is part of the process.”
